The Berber floor pillow collection is crafted from beautiful Berber bridal scarves from Morocco. Handwoven and adorned with henna motifs and tainted corners by brides-to-be in preparation for their traditional tribal marriage ceremony. This arrangement of motifs and use of henna was powerfully expressive in such that it was symbolic to their tribe with magical and talismanic meaning. The most common symbols used surrounded fertility and magical powers. Also, the use of henna on the bridal scarf signified a "divine blessing" and affirmed a life of protection from the evil eye as they began a new life of marriage.

Made from natural wool and hand-painted with henna.

•  Backed with 100% cotton velvet and finished our signature maroon zipper tape with antique brass metal pull.
  

• These large-size floor pillows are approximately 30" x 30", yet some may slightly vary in size due to making use of complete scarf dimensions.
  

• Recommended care: Dry Clean only.
